Radzilow, c.1921
Krejna and Owsiej Mortchaj had married in Radzilow
in 1906, and are shown here with four of their
eldest six children. It is not known why Chaja Fejga
and Riwka Reizil are missing. Most of this family
emigrated to Israel in 1933. Izrael Moszk emigrated
first to Cuba, then to Florida, but his descendants
have not been traced. Abram Icek is believed to have
been killed in the Holocaust. Efroim Hersz fought in
the British Army in Greece in World War II and was
taken prisoner of war. He was held in Stalag VIIIB
from 1941-45, before returning to Israel. Krejna
died in 1945.

Owsiej
Mortchaj Niedzwiecki
Possibly taken in
Cuba, 1930s
Owsiej
Mortchaj was born in Jedwabne c.1888 and married
Krejna Kowalska in Radzilow in 1906. Having had his
family
in Radzilow, he emigrated with them to Israel in 1933, but this photo was labelled "Cuba
05" in
Ilan
Guy's collection, suggesting he may have visited Cuba, where it is known that one of his sons
settled.
